Campus Bus – Stinger

The Stinger is Georgia Tech’s transit system and is open to students, employees, and the public.  Boarding fees and IDs are not required.

Holiday Service Impacts

Georgia Tech will not operate bus service on the following Institute holidays:​

  • Sept. 2, 2024 – Labor Day
  • Nov. 28 – 29, 2024 – Thanksgiving Break
  • Dec. 23 – 27, 2024 – Winter Break
  • Jan 1, 2025 – New Year’s Day (Observed)
  • Jan 20, 2025 – Martin Luther King Jr. Day
  • May 26, 2025 – Memorial Day
  • June 19, 2025 – Juneteenth
  • July 4, 2025 — Independence Day

TRANSIT OPERATIONS FOR GAMEDAY

SAT OCT 5, 2024

Grocery Shuttle

  • The grocery route will service East Campus until 1:30 p.m.
  • The grocery route will only service the Transit Hub, West Campus Housing, Graduate/Family Housing, and Atlantic Station after 1:30 p.m.

Midnight Rambler

  • The Midnight Rambler will only service the Transit Hub and West Campus Housing.
  • East Campus and Clough Commons will be serviced two hours after the football game concludes.

Stingerette Nighttime Safety

  • The Stingerette will begin accepting ride requests two hours after the football game concludes. To request a ride, download the TransLoc mobile app. For more information, please visit the Stingerette website.

Stinger Routes

The 1 – Gold Route operates on an east-west route through the heart of Georgia Tech’s campus, providing service from the Midtown MARTA Station to the Transit Hub.

The 2 – Red Route operates on a clockwise loop through the Georgia Tech campus, connecting east and west residential areas to the academic core of campus.

The 3 – Blue Route operates on a counter-clockwise loop through the Georgia Tech campus, connecting east and west residential areas to the academic core of campus.

The 4 – Green Route provides bus service between Georgia Tech’s 14th Street facilities, Home Park, Graduate and Family Housing, and the Transit Hub. 

Fall, Spring and Summer Service Schedule

The 5 – GT/Emory Route provides direct service between Georgia Tech’s midtown campus and Emory University’s Clifton Campus. On Georgia Tech’s campus passengers may board at the Cherry Emerson bus stop.

Emory Bus Route

The 6 – Midnight Rambler Route operates during the late night hours every day during fall and spring semesters. The route makes a circular loop connecting East and West Residential areas with the core of campus.

The 7 – NARA / Science Square Route provides van shuttle service between the Georgia Tech Transit Hub, the North Avenue Research Area (NARA), and Science Square (previously Technology Enterprise Park).

Fall, Spring and Summer Service Schedule

 

The 8 – Clough / Tech Square Route operates every day during fall and spring semesters. The route operates between Technology Square in Midtown and the Clough Learning Commons in the heart of Georgia Tech’s campus.

Stops on this route are a short distance from Coda, Scheller
College of Business, and the North Avenue MARTA station.

The 9 – Grocery Route operates Saturday and Sunday transit service from campus to the Atlantic Station Publix and Shopping District.
