The Stingerette provides after-hours transportation for Georgia Tech students and employees. The shuttle services Georgia Tech-operated living accommodations, academic buildings and facilities within campus boundaries and the MARTA Midtown Station.

The Stingerette is available Monday through Sunday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. excluding Institute holidays. Call 404.385.RIDE(7433) or visit www.stingerette.com  to request the Stingerette. Android and iPhone apps (powered by RideCell) are also available.

Please be ready to provide the number of people needing a ride, the current location and destination. Stingerette drivers are instructed to wait two minutes at any pick-up point. Please wait for the Stingerette in obvious sight of the driver at the pick-up location. Service requests are taken until 6:30 a.m.

Stingerette Paratransit Service

Stingerette Paratransit Service serves Georgia Tech students who need transportation assistance on campus due to permanent or temporary mobility impairments. This service operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Authorization to use this service must be obtained from the ADAPTS office located in the Student Services Building (404.894.2561). 

Safe Ride Home Punch Cards

For students living in the Home Park and Centennial Place communities, the Safe Ride Home Punch Card provides Stingerette rides from campus to their homes. Each punch card allows 10 safe rides home via the Stingerette Nighttime Shuttle.  Cards may be purchased at the Parking and Transportation office for $20 each.

Stingerette and Safe Ride Home Disclaimer

Rides and entry into the Stingerette may be denied because intoxication, foul language, or any perceivable risk to the Stingerette driver, passengers, or the vehicle. This also includes general disrespect for the driver or their duties. Riders that are deemed to be in one of these categories will be refused entry into the Stingerette. If the offense occurs while in route, the Stingerette driver will divert to a safe location and the passenger will be asked to exit the vehicle. If any of the aforementioned situations occur, the Stingerette driver will notify the Georgia Tech Police Department and request their assistance.

Stingerette and Parking and Transportation Services reserves the right to deny transportation to any institution or establishment that operates contrary to the mission of the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Georgia state law requires the use of a car seat or booster seat by infants and small children. One is provided in each Stingerette and must be used to transport children.

Stingerette drivers are not trained nor are their vehicles equipped to manage emergency health situations. If an emergency arises, contact Campus Police (404.894.2500) or dial 911.
