Taste of Atlanta will be held in Tech Square Friday, October 5 through Sunday, October 7, 2012. Special parking and transit accommodations will be in place for this event for the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center parking deck (E81).
Starting on Thursday, October 4, please use the 4th Street entrance (across from Arby’s) to access the E81 deck. The deck’s Spring Street entrance will be closed. The Williams Street entrance will only be accessible from 4th Street as 5th Street will be used for vendor setup.
In addition, 5th Street will be closed from Techwood Drive to West Peachtree Street on Thursday at 6:00 a.m. Spring Street will be closed on Saturday and Sunday.
The Area 6 visitors parking lot will be closed Thursday at 6:00 a.m. through Sunday evening.
Temporary Tech Trolley Route
The Tech Trolley will operate a temporary route starting Thursday, October 4 through Sunday, October 7.
Coming from the CRC, the Trolley will turn left onto Fowler Street by the baseball stadium and then right onto 10th Street. From there it will proceed to the Midtown MARTA station and return to campus using the same temporary route (see map below).
The following stops will be closed:
-5th Street and Techwood
-Tech Square at GLC
-Tech Square at College of Management
-Academy of Medicine
-Publix at Peachtree Place
-Tech Square at Centergy
Normal operations will resume Monday, October 8.
