Citations are issued against any vehicle illegally or improperly parked on the Georgia Tech campus. All parking rules and regulations are enforced 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Parking fines may be paid in the Parking Office or online. Unpaid fines may prohibit patrons from receiving a parking permit for the following semester/year. Also, distribution of the permit may be placed on hold until the outstanding balance is paid.
Unpaid citations are subject to collection and/or institutional policies. Students with unpaid citations will have those parking fees added to their Bursar’s account after 30 days. Students do not have the opportunity to re-appeal citations. Citations added to student Bursar’s accounts may only be paid through the Bursar’s office. They cannot be paid in the Parking and Transportation Office.
Additionally, citations written against vehicles not in the GT Parking system will be traced via the Department of Motor Vehicles, through which address information is obtained and used for collection purposes.
Citations can be appealed within 10 days of being written. After the appeal process is completed, the citation will be upheld, voided, or reduced.
