Parking Accommodations for Movie Filming: August 9-18

The movie “Super Intelligence” will be filmed on campus from Thursday, August 9 through Saturday, August 18, 2018. The following parking accommodations will be implemented for this event:

 

Visitors Parking Area 2 and Disability Parking Spaces (August 9 -18)

The Area 2 parking lot will be closed August 9-18. Please remove all vehicles from this lot by 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 8. Temporary disability parking spaces will be relocated to Ferst Drive between the Student Center loading dock and bus stop at Visitors Area 2.  

 

W02-Student Center Parking Deck (August 13-17)

Approximately 175 spaces on the roof the deck will be reserved for this event. W02 permit customers may park in unmarked W02 spaces or in W10-CRC deck. Access for the W10-CRC deck will be added to your BuzzCards or carpool permits.

 

W01-Ferst Drive (August 13-17)

Parking spaces on Ferst Drive between the Area 2 driveway and the Area 3/W02 deck driveway will be reserved for this event (Student Center side only).

W01 permit customers may park in unmarked W01 spaces (on Ferst Drive opposite of the Student Center) or in W06-TechParkway/Marietta Street.

 

Visitors Parking Area 3 (August 13-17)

Parking attendants will be on site in Area 3 to assist visitors attending FASET and other events. There will likely be congestion in this lot. SmartPark customers who cannot find spaces in Area 3 may park in E81-Tech Square deck or W23-North Campus deck using their SmartPark access.

 

Traffic Control (August 13 – 17)

GT Police will direct traffic during peak hours - 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at critical intersections in this area.

Police will also direct traffic on Ferst Drive at the driveway to W02 Deck/Area3 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily.

 

Campus Services Expo Shuttle (August 13, 15 and 16)

The shuttle stop for the Campus Services Expos on August 13, 15 and 16 will be moved to Ferst Drive between the Student Center loading dock and the Student Center Commons service vehicle lot.
