SERVICE UPDATE (As of 2/8/18):
To help address recent safety concerns, PTS will be expanding its nighttime transit service for the Green Route, Stingerette and Safe Ride Home programs.
GREEN STINGER ROUTE: The Green Route service hours are being extended to midnight (current service ends at approximately 8:50 pm). This service change will be in effect now through the end of Spring semester. Click here for more information about the Green Stinger Route.
SAFE RIDE HOME: Effective immediately, there will no longer be a charge for the Safe Ride Home program. Previously, there was a $2 fee per ride to transport students to Home Park and Centennial. This fee has been eliminated. The Safe Ride Home program provides rides from campus to the following communities:
· M Street Apartments
· University House
· 100 Midtown
· Centennial Place Apartments
· Home Park
To schedule a Safe Ride Home ride, call (404) 385-RIDE and speak with the dispatcher. The hours of operation for the Safe Ride Home service remain 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Click here for more information about the Safe Ride Home program.
STINGERETTE: Stingerette service will be expanded to add additional drivers to the Monday—Friday shifts. Additional coverage has been added to peak hours to handle anticipated increased demand. Again, there is no charge for the service. A pedestrian scramble is an intersection design in which part of the traffic light cycle includes a stop phase for all vehicles, allowing pedestrians to cross all streets in any direction, including diagonal.
The new 1.5-mile bike pathway that borders the western edge of campus ranked No. 1 on a People for Bikes 2017 list of Best New Bikeways.
The PTS office will close for winter break on Dec. 22 at 3:00 p.m. Transit will operate on a reduced schedule.
Instead of entering a space number when paying for visitors parking, customers will be required to enter their license plate numbers.
